Indication: Used in  Rheumatic complaints, arthritis, skin diseases, cough, asthma, colicky pain, graying of hair and loss of appetite.

Dose : 500 mg to 1 grams Two times a day after food along with warm water or adjuvant(Anupana) as per the diseases.

Side effects: No known side effects,Over dose may induce gastric irritation. Use this medicine under medical supervision.

Method of preparation of Kashayam: Prepare the kashaya in iron vessel by boiling triphala  with 576ml of water reduced to ¼ th part. Then kashaya filtered and mixed with erandataila and heated, when liquid becomes concentrated add gandaka and Shuddha(Processed)guggulu mixed well till it attain the solid consistency. Prepare the tablets of 500 mg or 1 grams and dry under shade.

Method  of Storage: Stored in airtight container in dry place.

Ayurvedic Properties of Simhanada Guggulu:

Roga karma: Vata pitta and kaphajarogahara, kanja, pangu, shwasa, kasa, kusta, vatarakta, gulma, shula, udara, amavata, jarapalitanashaka and avarana.

Dosha karma: Vatakaphahara.

Agni karma: Deepana and Pachana.

Other karmas: Srotoshodhana, amapachaka and shulahara.
